Kayaking is not only a great physical activity, but it is probably the best way to quietly explore the water, and to interact with wildlife without disturbing it. The Back Bay Science Center and Newport Bay Friends and Naturalists offer kayak tours open to the public.

A trained naturalist will be your guide as you travel from the Newport Dunes Resort into the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve, home to myriads of birds, fish, and other wildlife.
